The Carvel Club is re-opening in a limited capacity Saturday, May 16th at 5:45 a.m.
Please carefully read the following message from the board of directors.
On March 17, 2020, in response to the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic, in compliance with state guidelines and, most importantly, in the best interest of the health and welfare of The Club’s employees and the community it serves, The Board of Directors made the difficult decision to temporarily suspend Club operations for the first time since it opened its doors in 1948.
Remaining ever vigilant regarding the public health threat posed by the coronavirus to Carvel Club employees and the recovering community we serve, the Board believes that The Club can operate in a safe manner for our staff and meeting attendees, but only through adherence to a strict set of guidelines that must be implemented and observed - without exception.
These policies and guidelines will be in force at all times beginning with the Club’s anticipated re-opening on Saturday, May 16th at 5:45 a.m. and continuing throughout the operating hours of 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Sunday through Friday, 5:45 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Any group or individual which fails to comply with these rules/guidelines may lose meeting privileges at The Club for a period of time. Any questions or concerns about interpretation or enforcement of this policy should be directed to the Club Manager.
  1. All visitors to the Club must wear some form of mask covering nose and mouth while in the building. All employees are required to wear a mask and gloves at all times while on a shift.
  2. No food or beverages, or empty food or beverages containers, may be brought into the building.
  3. Do not enter the building more than 5-10 minutes before the scheduled meeting start time.
  4. Maintain 6-foot social distancing as much as possible at all times.
  5. Use the hand sanitizer dispensers provided throughout the building at every opportunity.
  6. Follow all signs posted around The Club.
  7. Maximum Occupancy numbers posted on all doors/rooms MUST be observed.
  8. DO NOT move or add chairs to any of the meeting rooms.
  9. Each meeting secretary will review established Club guidelines at the beginning of each and every meeting.
  10. DO NOT “pass the basket”. A cleanable bowl will be provided to the secretary for donations. Individuals acting in the role of meeting secretary will be provided gloves if they do not have them.
  11. The appropriate meeting rent money should be returned to the counter in the bowl provided.
  12. Meetings MUST conclude 15 minutes earlier than the scheduled ending time. DO NOT mingle after the meeting. IMMEDIATELY move out of the rooms and exit the building. DO NOT congregate by the doors. This is to allow proper cleaning and sanitizing in preparation for the next meeting.
Thank you for your cooperation. Please help us keep everyone safe….and sober.
